2008 : the defected year August 27, 2008 this compilation is the evolution in club music. charles webster, miami 2008, eivissa 2008, cluband adventures... great! defected, this is the way.
Defected does defected July 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Defected Eivissa albums are always a hit, they pack every year their main ingredients: soulful vocals, couple of classics, tribal/latin stuff. You get the point. On CD1 the tempo is kept lower but it manages to be a much better mix mainly because it's their territory, on CD2 the tempo increases and while Finally is still essential, the use of It's Over yet again proves the lack of decent vocals in the past few years. Jabre's productions are mint though so check them out. Overall a good package for the beach/warmup.
very average...disappointing June 18, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
When I see that defected makes an album with an "eivissa" title and if the dj is simon dunmore, I didnt hesitate and bought the album without reading any reviews or listening the preview. This album is very average, both cd 1 and 2 does not have the "defected sound" and none of them succeed to put you in the party mood. It is ok, djing is ok, but track selection is quite poor and you never feel like you are listening to one of the best djs through the best music houses of today.
I would suggest you spend you money somewhere else. Defected Charles Webster is better than this even though that also can not be compared to the defected albums of the previous years.
