Don't take Scooter too seriously! August 15, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Anyone giving this album 1 star and saying "they are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto" is an idiot. Do you not realise that Scooter are just taking the p!ss? All the tracks are proper Euro trash with hilarious lyrics "it's not a bird, it's not a train, it must be Dave who's on the train" - this is clearly meant to be tongue in cheek. The album is great fun and makes you laugh out loud not to mention tap your feet. The new stuff is fantastic and fits perfectly with "jumpstyle". Check out Patrick Jumpen on You Tube to see some Jumpstyling to Scooter, v catchy! I saw Scooter live in Berlin years ago and, believe me, they are just having a laugh. Don't get offended, just get jumpin'!!
Happy Hardcore Nostalgia August 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Im ten years on from the hardcore scene and fancied some nostalgia, this didn't disappoint, was worried that this might be either too commercial or heavy for me but the balance is great and the tunes are superb! 5 Star no doubt about it and great value, enjoy!
If you liked Scooters nessaja, logical song etc buy this immediately! August 12, 2008
Did you love The Logical Song, Nessaja, Posse when they came out in the 90's? If you did, ignore the negative reviews and buy it. This will bring back so many memories, and there are many songs I'd never heard before that are now my favourites. How Much Is The Fish is so bizarre, but an amazing track! I haven't changed CD's in my car since I bought it 3 weeks ago- and I drive around all day for work. That's how much I love it. Stick some bass on, crank up the volume, and try not to look embarrassed. Although I think it's pretty cool. And I don't wear Burberry, trakkies or baseball caps. ;)
Foot stomping July 8, 2008 9 out of 11 found this review helpful
There is a real divide with Scooter, it's either Love Em, or Hate em. I love them. I was so into the late 80's house music, and this is the only music nowadays that is similar to it for me. Give Scooter the due, they would have been s popular at the start of house, and would have added so much more diversion. I bought it it 2 weeks ago, and have most the tracks, but hey it's a compilation. The first track, "The Definition", you know what is coming. Boy do you turn up the volume. Being 50 and liking Scooter is not the norm, l can assure you, especially when you go and see them in concert, l get "Alright grandad". I find listening to the Cd's in my own space, brings back memories of the nights l have seen them, and how much l have enjoyed them. The Cd is a no brainer, if you love Scooter you'll love this.
JUMPING ALL OVER THIS CD June 17, 2008 2 out of 17 found this review helpful
How do people like this get record deals with lyrics like the painted cow and dave on a train. This group should have stayed in the 90's when hardcore music was in fashion.
They are not exactly Paul Van Dyk or Tiesto, they are just rip off merchants. The CD isn't exactly cutting edge in music - a 9 year old could have made this cd on his playstation.
I can see the draw with the chavs buying this as they are just kids with no musical taste.
Jumping All Over The World is terrible with lyrics like diggy wiggy wiggy. I would rather stick a rusty kitchen knive in my ears then listen to this garbage anymore.
I also see the draw with the 2nd cd being a cd full of so called "clasics". If you have any taste in decent music and are looking for deeper meaning lyrics that arn't I painted my houe red then I painted my cow then burn this cd as there is no other place deserving for it.
I feel sorry for whoever buys this and if you have then be prepared for your eardrums to be tortured.
