Fantastic, just fantastic November 6, 2008

KJ always sounded good in session mode - the stripped-down raw mood really suited their songs.
Although this anthology naturally covers their early career, you couldn't wish for a better "alternative" take on some classic tracks. These are no lightweight versions either, and really stand alongside the studio versions.
For me standout track is "The Hum" - if there is a better more relentless grinding march towards the apocalypse then I've yet to hear it.
Buy this and play it loud.

this takes me back.a friend taped some of these sessions circa 1980 and this was my first introduction to the joke.28 years later im still a fan.a must for any joke fan highly recommended.

Absolutely worth the wait. The two unreleased tracks add rhythm and dub to the canon, and the rest are great versions of great tracks. For fans of The Joke, unmissable...
