5 out of 5 stars It is possible..!   September 17, 2008
I had decided not to write a review of any album, but I have to for this one. I am now on my third(?) copy I lose track. I can't believe how wonderful their voices are and the charisma they ooze. An unbelievably talented group and all I can say to Sony is "Your loss!" Which is what they are proving at the moment. As well as continuing to perform as the magical Teatro they're individually reaching great heights.
Simon Bailey is Raoul in the new cast of Phantom and wowing them every night. Jeremiah James is about to star in Carousel with Lesley Garrett (which I can't wait to see btw!) and Stephen Rahman-Hughes and Andrew Alexander are both involved in other projects. Sony dropped the ball here and hopefully someone will pick it up and run with it very soon.
Favourite track has to be 'I am what I am' even with the lyric change. Lets hope we hear more fantastic tracks from them in the future

2 out of 5 stars Oh Dear   August 11, 2008

Oh Dear. This group was one of the most over hyped, poorly executed and cynical in memory. It's quite easy to see why Sony have dropped them. Not only do they come across as smug and arrogant but the vocals are weak and the arrangements totally unorginal and without class. I'd love to say something nice but all I can say is Oh Dear.

1 out of 5 stars Save your money, I wish that I'd saved mine   February 22, 2008

Pleasant enough vocals but no light and shade, no strength and no power.

Some of these are powerful numbers which need a powerful voice. Teatro doesn't deliver I'm afraid. It's all very much on one level, no passion, no fire and no interest. Buy the originals and compare, you'll find that there is no comparison.

5 out of 5 stars Absolutely love these guys and BLAKE too, both great!!!   January 14, 2008

There are so many people saying they love one cover band or the other, well, I like BOTH. BLAKE and Teatro are both excellent groups of singers. I think that BLAKE have the lead in the looks department, where as Teatro have a better selection of songs. Both groups have good voices, although I think Blake are better trained, but then you don't have to be trained to sing Theatre Music, so thats ok. People can buy both these albums and enjoy them in equal measure. I think that we can enjoy both these groups without coming onto the internet and writing fake reviews about one or the other. I like fact that BLAKE are all English singers, well spoken and polite. Teatro will appeal more to the lower class people in the UK, and Americans. I'm lower class myself so I quite like them. I went to state school in north London, and my friends are all Jewish. I don't think this type of music would appeal more to jews or Christians, but as a Jew I quite like it.

Anyhow, both Teatro and Blake are brilliant - you should buy both their albums,

5 out of 5 stars Teatro hits Gold!   January 14, 2008

Love the album. Even though I liked it tremendously the first time I heard it, I must say the more I listen to it I enjoy even more! It's not only addictive but you never get tired of those great songs and the way Teatro sings them. I find myself singing the songs in my mind or humming them throughout the day. Congratulations on going "GOLD"(100,000 sold) in less than two months.....outstanding! Best of luck in the future!
