The Noel Coward AlbumThis album was recorded live in Las Vegas and New York between 1955 and 1956 and shows Noel Coward in cabaret at his best.
The album starts off with a medley of some of his most popular songs including 'I'll See You Again', 'Dance, Little Lady', 'Poor Little Rich Girl' etc and progresses on to some quite humorous songs such as 'Uncle Harry', 'A Bar on the Piccola Marina' and 'Alice is at it Again'.
Some of the lyrics of the songs have been changed to suit the audiences of the time, such as Noel's version of Cole Porter's 'Let's Do It'.
This album is well worth investing in, it has everything - wit, great tunes and wonderful lyrics.
If you are interested in vintage Coward, try the albums 'Compact Coward' or 'A Talent to Amuse'.
Happy Listening!
