Serves its purpose just fine July 31, 2004 15 out of 16 found this review helpful
You have a new addition to the family. After nappies, cot, bottles and plenty of caffeine, you of course need a Nursery Rhyme CD. It is on the list, just under "new house with garden and extra bedroom". Well, you've found it (the CD, not the house, sorry).
Cheap(ish), well sung, imaginatively arranged (as far as it goes), and importantly - not too annoying. You'll be singing along on those long car journeys, chuckling at one or two humorous lyrical twists, and generally putting a smile on your little pumpkin's face.
It ain't Mozart (well, mostly) but it does its job.
Great all-round nursery rhyme CD - my baby loves it! February 17, 2003 35 out of 35 found this review helpful
My 6-month old daughter has listened to this CD from when she was about 3 months old and it gets her attention every time I put it on. She listens intently to every song and it seems to calm her down when she is fretful and keeps her occupied when I need her to stay still for a while. The singing is pretty good, the music catchy and it is also not annoying like other children's CDs where you have kids or other amateur singers singing in the background. I highly recommend it as an all round fun introduction to nursery rhymes which is quite tolerable for parents as well.
A nice blend of nursery rhymes - not for the traditionalist November 6, 2001 26 out of 28 found this review helpful
This CD has a nice mixture of nursery rhymes some well known others were new to me. Some of which have been "jazzed" up a bit as well as a humour added in such as dinosaurs in Old Macdonald's Farm, so not for the traditionalist. My 2 month old happily listened to the whole CD whilst on her play mat.
