Product Description
The main man back on top, don't listen to the skeptics, listen to the music. An amazing album, featuring the must have tracks "unbreakable", "invincible", "heaven can wait" and "whatever happens".

Amazon.co.uk Review
For such a boldly titled and apparently driven attempt to reinstate Michael Jackson at the centre of the pop world, Invincible is a listless thing. Split between scratchy funk workouts and mid-tempo ballads that might have appeared as Bad B-sides, the album plays on and on while never seriously promoting dancing or romancing. Its handful of weird moments--the resurrection-by-tape of Biggie Smalls on the bridge of the title track, for instance--are hardly large-scale bizarre like the first disc of HIStory. The title track turns out to be hardly the rampant ego-fest you'd imagine; instead, its subject is a female whom Jackson cheers on. Likewise, the most ear-catching moments of the "comeback" single "You Rock My World" come with Chris Tucker's jivey introduction. Despite a debt to "Payback"-era James Brown, "Rock" floats away like steam midway through. It's almost a relief when the old self-regard turns up: on the growling "Privacy", Jackson rants about muckrakers "stalking" him in search of "the stories you need to bury me", all this long after foundering divas and troubled boy-group members have replaced him on tabloid covers. The man may occasionally break away from the mirror, but he seems unsure about where else to find inspiration. --Rickey Wright

5 out of 5 stars Unbelievable... Its a Masterpiece of Contemporary R&B   July 3, 2010
A. Kukadia (UK)
ON THE ITEM ITSELF:
I bought this item as a Double Album on Vinyl... and might I say that it is absolutely stunning. The Artwork is absolutely fantastic when you get it on a huge album like this, it NEEDS to be presented like this. Its a great artwork and as an album... the vinyls are the way to show it. Sure it is more expensive, but the sound is glorious and it is something more to treasure that a little plastic CD that will be forgotten in a CD collection. Whenever you play this album on vinyl, you feel a sense of occasion.. just like with every vinyl album. The time is JUST for that piece of art.

ON THE ALBUM:
Unbelievably underrated actually. What we all see in reviews... they quote the history, they quote personal life and then RELATE it to the music. Now I might be a bit messed up, but is that not wrong? What actually matters is the music that has been made. It is unique, it is an experience, just like Jackson albums "hadn't" been since Dangerous. I would agree. This album has some superb numbers that work well together. Some superb vocal performances, with Butterflies being unbelievable.

Divided into 2 Parts.. From Track 1-8 is one half of the album which could've worked a self contained album, which is classic great michael doing great work.. but THEREAFTER, we see a completely NEW Jackson. It is very different after Speechless, we have a few ballads which creates a new style for the artist. He has never made anything like You Are My Life or Don't Walk Away. Privacy is a good listen, maybe not as strong as the others but it still has great style with Slash on guitar which has worked on EVERY song that he has worked with on.

The last 4 tracks then implement this new Michael Jackson style into kind of recreating genius that he made in the 80s.

Cry is Man in the Mirror
The Lost Children is Dirty Diana (which sounds wrong, but the style isn't so offensive as people suggest)
Threatened is NOT A THRILLER REHASH... it is actually the song Bad.. and when we realise it we can actually picture a great music video for that.

Whatever Happens is quite possibly the albums greatest work. It would've been a hit if released as the very first single. The vocals are staggeringly amazing and the guitar playing works excellently.

Give this a listen with an open mind. Understand what was made before you try and "compare" it to Thriller (which was not his greatest work). It is great that not many compared it to Off The Wall, because so many people are afraid that this album brings some those days back to the present.

Get it?

5 out of 5 stars Michael's best   May 10, 2010
Maria Virokhovsky
This is a real gem, my favorite album by Michael. The songs are just so beautiful, they are sweeping you away. When I first heard it I was overwhelemed for such a long time, I was in shock. Melodies, lyrics, Michael's etherial perfomance - you are going to love absolutely everything about this album. Perfection!

4 out of 5 stars Typically what you'd expect from Michael Jackson   April 22, 2010
Rumaroo (England)
Upon the first few listens, this album is hardly anything special compared to Jackson's previous masterpieces. But it's a winner for the fans, or R&B fans alike. It's pretty long-winded but massively enjoyable with powerful tracks such as 'Invincible' and 'You Rock My World' having you restraining yourself from hitting the dancefloor with your shoddy Jackson-esque moves.
Soft ballads like 'Speechless' and 'Butterflies' are beautiful with an air of melacholy.
Most of the tracks are potential hits and great to sing along to, IF you like groovy R&B with thumping beats and soppy lyrics; typically the same sort of stuff Jackson was given credit for in the first place!

5 out of 5 stars truly Invincible   April 11, 2010

Highly recommended. Michael as good as ever. Some musical gems to be discovered on this album.

5 out of 5 stars Great love songs on here   January 24, 2010

I bought the cd and copied it into my hard drive. I took many of these songs and some of his other songs from earlier albums particularly "Lady in my Life" from Thriller and made an MJ love songs cd. My husband and I love it! The songs are beautiful, particularly, "Break of Dawn", "Rock My World", "Speechless", "Butterflies" all of the ballads on this cd are great for making love. They are perfect background music played low. Seriously, MJ had one of the sexiest voices ever to get you in the mood for love. I'm surprised his record label never came out with an MJ love songs cd. Since he died I have fallen in love with his voice. He had one of the greatest singing voices ever imo.
