Superb single! October 30, 2006 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
This has to be best track and video I've seen from Madonna. I've heard the Confessions album a few times. The album's okay, but I forgot about this number until I saw it recently on the box. Dance-electro-synth tunes do suit Madonna's style. I grew up listening to synth's and drum machines in the eighties. Her producer Stuart Price likes the same stuff as shown with his Les Rythme Digtales setup. It does sound fresh and modern, compared to stuff in the chart's. The music production is first class. Top synth and beat's with a smart fast paced video to boot. It not often you see an American pull off such a good Euro sound.

Despite the dodgy video and the twelve months since the release of 'Confessions', 'Jump' still manages to get the floor filled. The opening nod to The Pet Shop Boys' 'West End Girls' sets the tone for this 80s inspired Warren G spoken vocal esk disco stomp. Shoulda been released this summer when she was on the road to ensure commercial success.
Possibly the best commercial song on the album October 22, 2006 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
From the moment I first listened to this album, "Jump" became my favorite. From what I've heard of the remixes (not yet released in the US), it's gotten great treatment. It's just too bad Madge and the folks at Warner Bros waited so long to release the song as a single. It should have followed "Hung Up" while that single was still on the charts. It probably would have built on the momentum that was established better than "Sorry." I was glad to hear it in "The Devil Wears Prada," but dissapointed that Madge & Co didn't take advantage of the movie tie-in (I don't think it's on the soundtrack, although "Vogue" is). Like "Deeper & Deeper" & "Fever" from Erotica, "Jump" looks like it might be another missed opportunity in terms of chart position. Nevertheless, at the end of the day, it's a great track, perfectly suited to her vocals.

This single from Madonna's latest album was featured (a little!) in the top movie "The Devil Wears Prada". Excellent lyrics to inspire, an electronic dance beat thats very powerful, it was a natural choice for the soundtrack. Oddly it is not featured on that soundtrack but Vogue is!
In my opinion, its a great single to release. Let's hope the video is up to scratch!
At last Jump is released! October 17, 2006 4 out of 7 found this review helpful
The best track on confessions at last gets released... Look out for history... why wasn't this on the album, simply a stunning track. Great remixes, but are they worth the price???
