4 out of 5 stars perfect pop song!   October 29, 2007

Great collaboration ! Thanks to Andy Lewis for making that new macho voice surf on again. After reading Paolo Hewitt's "Changingman" and its spot on assertion that Weller's music is SO masculine since "Moderdism: A new decade (and I couldn't agree more) glad to see and hear Weller back to a soulful mood. Reminescences of "Solid bond..." and "Beat Surrender" poor in while the sound remains current, a great driving song. And, surprise, it gets even better ! A wonderful single. Can't wait for the OPUS.

3 out of 5 stars Yeah yeah yeah   October 26, 2007

Nice enough breezy sharp northern soul tune with Weller's soulful vocals. Not outstanding in any way but decent enough addition to the growing Weller collaborative canon.
The second track -"The Lazuzli Affair" is a nice enough bit of mod-60s pastiche.

Weller's coasting but he coasts in reasonable style. Put on your dancing shoes, as Sir Cliff once sung.
