Madonna, The best ever! August 17, 2008 Give it to me is one of the best tracks off the Hard Candy album. Madonna yet again has out done herself and proved that she is indeed the queen of pop!. Fantastic remixes by Paul Oakenfold and Eddie Amador(cd2). Madonna sweeps the floor with all the wannabes out there and never lets her fans down. She comes back each time stronger and powerful than ever before! Keep it up Madge I love you !!!x
"Give It 2 Me" is awesome! July 18, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Absolute ace Madonna single, it is the best track on her album. Can`t quite understand how anybody dislikes this as it`s so good! It will be a mega hit, though it might not beat McFly to the top of the charts - reason, bad bad people buying McFly!! Stop right now and BUY Madonna`s single! Go on!!!!!!!!!
fantastic track better than 4 minutes July 16, 2008 it has pace, rythm,And originality...what more do you need? it should have gone straight to number one in the uk charts but instead went to #9. her album Hard Candy is being played a lot at the moment...i cant get enough of it...i find all the tracks upbeat and fun while not her greatest album it is a class act from Maddie. and this is one of the best tracks on the album. may she release Devil wouldn't recognise you and Miles Away as they are classic songs that demand release as future singles!!!

When i first listened to Madonna's Hard Candy, 'Give It 2 Me' felt like an immediate highlight. What i think works so well about it is that it sounds as if its come straight out of Madonna's 80s years, bringing to mind something like Gambler - that feisty attitude of Madonna's youth just as prevalent in this track. And of course, those hints of nostalgia in Give It 2 Me are then brought bang up to date in what results as a storming floorfiller of a track. As always, Madonna has proven she is the master of combining old and new.
The track just builds and builds, layering synths on top of eahc other and touches of vocodered vocals - the whole thing immaculately produced and like all great Madonna tracks, instantly catchy and impossible not to get up and dance too.
So, with those razor sharp synths whipping across a relentless beat courtesy of Pharrell, the lyrics of 'Don't stop me now, don't need to catch my breath, I can go on and on and on' are Madonna's streak of defiance as she tells us she can do whatever she pleases. All in all, it's an ace track and well worth getting.
Praise must also go to Paul Oakenfold who serves up an ace remix of the track as the single's b-side. Kicking off with a stomping bassline, this version could have come straight off of Madonna's Confessions album, all futuristic and spacey in its epicness. Madonna has always really impressed me on the remix front and this version is no exception.
[This is CD 1 of a 2 CD set]

boring as ever. Try Nick Worrall's debut album for a real treat and to show what good modern songwriting sounds like.
