 Great introduction to a great band February 14, 2010

This is a good collection of some of the highlights of their work, although I do feel that it should've included tracks like 'Make This Go On Forever' or 'It's Beginning To Get To Me' which were my favourite songs off the 'Eyes Open' album. This is for those who liked their most famous songs 'Run' and 'Chasing Cars' and want to hear more. However, if you do get this CD and enjoy it, don't stop there. You must get the 'Eyes Open' album as I think its their best album to date and contains some great songs, which do not appear on this CD including the ones I mentioned above. Snow Patrol are one of my favourite bands because their music is very meaningful, Gary Lightbody is a gifted songwriter and his voice is so haunting and conveys alot of emotion. They are even better live.

With most CDs especially doubles like this one, you play them and only the most popular that have been released as singles are played, the rest are fast forwarded. My introduction to snow patrol as an AOP was when I had a courtesy car and the previous occupier had left a snow patrol cd in the player. I played it every time I drove for 3 days, and loved the sound. When I decided to buy this copy I was surprised how many were familiar. Out of every track I think there is only 2 that dont appeal to me. Each one is different from the rest, music is great and so different from the rubbish being churned out at the moment. no hesitation in giving it 5* and recommending it to all ages who appreciate good music and sensible lyrics.

I bought this for my husband, for Christmas and as yet I'm the only one playing it. Both being fans of Snow Patrol, I love it and would recommend it to others even if you've never really paid much attention to the group before. Definitely worth a listen!

This 2 CD set is a testament to how good Snow Patrol are. Being a fan of all their work I had most of these tracks on the separate albums. I bought this as a gift for my wife who loves them but wanted all her favorites in the car!! This delivers ! Amazing songs , amazing music and amazing value for money.
