Kate Rusby sings some well known and less well known carols to provide a superb listening experience. Her rendition of "Sweet Bells", which is a version of "While Shepherds Watched" is especially worth listening to.

Ms Rusby has the best folk voice since Sandy Denny - idiosyncratic and pure. Not convinced by her chosen versions of the carols tho'. Wouldn't be KR if she just picked known versions!

I bought this CD in the run-up to Christmas and what an absolute delight it is. In fact I found it so wonderful, that I actually managed to get to see Kate live on the 18th December singing songs from the album. I was sad to have to put it away now that Christmas is past, but know that it will reappear each December as a firm favourtie.
