quite surprising July 31, 2010 Proc (Cumbria, England. UK) I bought this after hearing Bad Romance, with the idea of having both albums.
Not being a fan of Lady Gaga I was quite surprised at just how good the albums are.
you can hear a lot of other influences in the album but not too much of a distraction.
the tracks grow on you as you hear more of them.
I will consider buying her next album after hearing these.
Most of the best songs have been released July 30, 2010 CSC This comes in 2 CD's The Fame Monster and the Fame.
The best songs on CD1 are the songs that have been released - just the same as The Fame, the best songs were released from that. It is great at the start but then halfway through the tracklist it starts to go down hill in the quality of song.
Lady Gaga could make an amazing album if more thought and effort was given for every single track (that's where it fades in the quality of song on The Fame half way through). My wife listens to the first 6 tracks and that's it and on the Fame Monster Cd listens to the first 4 tracks.
If she concentrated more on making the best songs (more like bad romance) rather than what she wears (sometimes barely anything) or what she does outside of making music, then she would make one of the best pop albums in history.
Lady Gaga - The Fame Monster July 26, 2010 COOP (Southampton, UK) Good Album, knew some of the hits, and bought the album on the strength of those, not disappointed. Will buy CD's though from now on.
The Most Ambitious Release of The Decade! July 26, 2010 Jet (Texas) Wow, i seriously thought the 2000's had killed music for good and that no real talent was ever goint to emerge to mainstream ever again. Around 70% of the artists that appeared through that decade were came and gone one hit wonders ( and i use the term wonders very loosely.) And out of nowhere this Pop Godess emerges out of nowhere and spins the whole music industry upside down.
With The Fame Monster Lady Gaga serves us a dish of Eastern European Gothic Pop music that just goes inside you and doesn't wanna come out.
I love the new direction she took for this album after "The Fame" In which she was more of a Pop Princess with sugary sweet melodies and heavy dance beats.
Well with this album she comes and lashes out with Monsterous hooks and powerful vocal performances that leave you wanting more.
And you can see how much she's grown as a song writer and an artist as well. She's just a complete genius.
Lady Gaga is in no manner a one hit wonder and she'll deffinately be around for a long time. This girl is destined to become a legend. I can't believe that in just 2 short years she's already making the type of level of music artists take decades to be able to achieve. I really can't wait to see Lady Gaga 5 years from now. Cause with these 2 albums she's released so far, one can only tell that she's only getting bigger and better.
Lady Gaga is the only artist out right now who i can tell will without a doubt become a legendary icon. She's creative enough, she's talented enough, she's intelligent enough, she's ambitious enough, she's disciplined enough and she's good enough.
Buy this album, you won't regret it!
My Top 5
1. Dance In The Dark
2. So Happy I Could Die
3. Bad Romance
4. Teeth
5. Monster
Surprisingly Great! July 25, 2010 A. Pereira (Wirral, Mside United Kingdom) Listened to the album and loved every track - very listenable, catchy and gets you bopping.
Not exactly groundbreaking but the Ultimate Pop!
