| Editorial Reviews:
Amazon.co.uk Review Ocean Eyes follows hot on the heels of "Fireflies", a sparkling piece of emo-tinged electronic pop that made Adam Young, a bedroom musician from small-town Minnesota, a chart-topper on both sides of the Atlantic. Critics have noted the similarities of Owl City to past introspective electronica outfits such as Sub Pop signees The Postal Service, but Ocean Eyes is plainly a brighter, more populist spin on the sound, with colourful melodies, vocals tinted with autotune, and emotions writ large. Yes, it's sentimental stuff-–lyrically, the sort of literate-but-neurotic fare that sounds as informed by the dialogue of articulate indie flicks like 500 Days Of Summer than traditional pop songwriting. "I’ve been to the dentists' a thousand times so I know the drill" quips Young on "Dental Care", a song inevitably less about deep-canal work than matters of the heart. Those with harder hearts may find the overall effect a little saccharine, but it’s inescapable that Owl City has the ear for a tune that can really weevil its way into your memory-–hear how the likes of "Cave In" and "Hello Seattle" recall "Fireflies" in their blend of yearning emotion and crisp, sing-along hooks. --Louis Pattison

Twit twoo! July 27, 2010 S. Collett (london, uk) Absolutely brilliant!
I loved this album, but especially the hit 'fireflies.' My 15 year old daughter told me about the track, and I'm hooked!
I think you have to ignore most of the criticisms of this album, as Owl City is what it is - pure fun electro pop.
I'm looking forward to the guys visiting the UK, with their rescheduled dates, and I'll be there with my teenage kids singing along!
How much fun is that???

great easy listening music July 7, 2010 delly dee (bolton) i bought this cd as i really liked the fireflies song and i was not disapointed, its a great album
A Feel Good CD June 25, 2010 P. Tyrer (Liverpool, UK) Easy CD to listen to - a bit repetetive but still worth the purchase. Great for driving along to and yes, it does make you feel happy and light.
It is sort of OK June 7, 2010 Daniel Brown (Swindon) Like many I bought off the back of 'Fireflies' and this is often quite a breeze of an album but dare I say it is a bit too 'samey' and as a result can become tiresome (especially that singular toned voice)
