At last after its original issue over 35 years ago this fabulous double album is coming out on October 6th, and it was about time.
Shirley Bassey is one of those performers who lights up completely on the stage. Her voice is so powerful and so controled that you lose nothing of the perfection aquired only in a studio recording but rather there is an extra touch of excitement due to the once in a lifetime live perfomance.
Whoever probably due to the fact that she is singing to a Japanese audience Miss Bassey seems more polite more poised than in other live recordings like her talk of the town show or even the carnegie hall concert.
The selection of songs contains her signature hits like goldfinger and also her stage favorites big spender and yOu and i.I must say having owned all of her live albums this one is definetely my favorite fr the choice of songs and for the quality of the recording.

This is a great live CD by Shirley Bassey. The sound quality and production is amazing. It may not have quite the high powered excitement of the Carnegie Hall CD from the previous year, but I think Dame Shirley sounds even better on this recording. Her vocals are amazing. It's also great to hear her live performances of songs like "All That Love Went To Waste", "Going Going Gone" and "Make The World A Little Younger" as well as her more famous songs. This is the first time this recording has been issued outside of Japan and it's been worth the wait! Thanks to BGO for another fantastic release. Their remastering is second to none. Check out all of their Bassey releases!
