Groove and move.... April 11, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
....to this brilliant album. Well done BNH! The music is very funky indeed.
The kind of album you can put in your CD player and leave on repeat. I saw them live in Wembley Stadium in 1992 when they were supporting Simply Red. The stadium was packed with nearly 75,000 people and they simply blew everyone away, I've been a fan ever since that day.

Best re-make of Midnight at the Oasis. Very hard to find, but played heavily on Jazz FM London. Have been trying to find a copy for a while, get it, won't be disapointed...Just good music.
Excellent mix of the old stuff and the new, keeping it FUNKY January 23, 2001 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Heavies are still keeping it funky with this album, with a selection of some good older funky tunes from pervious albums, now performed with their new lead singer, plus some more recent stuff with the likes of 'You've go a friend' and 'Apparently Nothing', make this one to add to your collection or start a new one with, it's a must have, the tracks are brilliant as you would expect from the Heavies keeping the funk funky and the soul soulful, also managing to mix the two styles together which they have always done so well. you just have to say 'GIMME ONE OF THOSE'

An excellent selection of the finest tracks made so far January 31, 2000 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The Brand New heavies, from the begining have shown great talent and creativity when it comes to making Jazz funk / Acid jazz music. Their albums have grown and matured as they have through the years, yet keeping their sound striktly underground. Trunk funk is almost like a chapter BNH are closing...and are now stepping into another dimention. The selection of tracks choosen for Trunk Funk are specially & individually selected to make this finest album. With carleen on board the BNH train, im sure without a doubt that their music to come will be as rich and ecletic as ever.
