When listening to a lounge/dance/electronica set it is often just a few tracks that will remain imprinted on your mind, constantly popping up in the wake state. Nicola Conte is one of the people creating such music. And part of the beauty of their grooves is that they are also like templates to be played with. One such result is this disk, Jet Sounds Revisited! And I'm glad they did revisit, as it has led me in the direction of many other wonderful artists, who I have now added to my collection (Koop, Kyoto Jazz Massive, Micatone, to name a few).
In South Africa, where I grew up, there is an expression, "To add meat to the bones!" And that is exactly is what you will find with this offering: succulent meat grafted onto some juicy bones!
The smooth of Nicola Conte has been given some extra mojo, some extra punch! Quality music sliced, diced, and quartered by quality artists. Nu Jazz with a dash of funk!
