This album brings together Steve Swallow and Carla Bley in a delightfully tongue-in-cheek play on chamber music. Alongside six classically trained musicians, Carla has produced an indulgence of sound with inventive writing, mellow with a bitter-sweetness to finish. Unusual, spine-tingling, delicious and funny. The sleeve notes are worth a read if nothing else.
