Ooh Does This Newcomer Sound So Good!!! June 17, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Ashton is pure country! And it's way over due to have a singer like this in country music. She wrote all but one track and she's a natural. With a fantastic voice and a Alabama twang to go with it. She kicks things off with the cracking Takin' Off This Pain-great song.Other excellent uptempos are the title track Sounds So Good(love the fiddle arrangement)Not Right Now(about not settling down any time soon)The Pickin' Shed and the fabulous The Bigger The Heart.Just love that song-this will have your toe tapping along in no time. She also has some fantastic hurtin' country ballads like Old Memory,Regular Joe and the great Whiskey Won The Battle. If you love your country then you have to add this gem to your collection! An excellent debut from an artist that is gonna go a long way in country music...
Great New talent April 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great country Cd by a new American singer. This is not the usual dull Formula like Carrie underwood ,this is the real thing . The highlight is Taking Back The Pain followed by I Ain't Dead Yet. PS Lets hope Mindy Mccready makes a comeback with her great voice.
remarkable debut album March 27, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
This was my first experience of this brand new talent and I am looking forward to more of this in the future. This is really a true country artist who if there is any justice will have long and sucsessful career. The album starts on high with Taking of this Pain and finishes with the brillant Whisky won the Battle.
