A Real Masterpiece!!! May 23, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If I had to get rid of my beloved Bon Jovi collection but were allowed to keep a handful of items, I know for a fact that i'd save the album, "These Days" because without any doubt, it is one of the band's very best work with every track on the CD, a true gem. If you don't already own this album yet then I can only recommened that you purchase it soon because in my opinion, this could very well be the greatest Bon Jovi album to date. My favorites tracks are "These Days", "Something For The Pain", "Hey God" and "If That's What It Takes" but i'm truely fond of every track. Bon Jovi had a great moment in their career when they released this critically acclaimed, no.1 masterpiece! If you're just going to buy a few Jovi albums, then please be sure you look into this one.
Bon Jovi's Best October 4, 2007 Do I dare say it?? I will...Its Better than "Slippery When Wet" not by a long way however, but its more mature & grown up, Lyrically Bon Jovis best work. If you have never herd it before, beware its totally different to any other Bon Jovi album, which perhaps gives it that extra edge for Bon Jovi fans. But none the less a pure gem, and a must have in any cd collection. Buy it....NOW!!!!
Don't miss out, this is a GEM! December 8, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I used to think every BJ album after Keep The Faith was rubbish. I recently bought These Days and loved it, a really 'grown up' album which invited me to sample Crush. Well if I'm not surprised to hell! I love These Days and Crush, two brilliant CDs which are completely different to the 80s material but still very, very good. These are mature songs and perfect for me. 10/10

As others have mentioned, it takes a few listens to get used to this album. The first few tracks are excellent, and you know you're on to something special when you hear 'something for the pain.' Honestly, this song needs to be listened to LOUD, ya know? it's just one of those tracks, kinda like 'livin on a prayer.' Other favourites of mine are 'these days' and 'damned'. The whole album is great though, well worth the money.

This album, imo opinion is bon jov's best. Dont listen to Kerrang! who say its the one to skip, they obviously have never listened to it. You want rock, soul, incredibly well written lyrics, great vocals, and guitar... go for this album!
