A definite 5 star album!!! October 8, 2008 Light It Up is a definite 5 star hard rock album! For fans of bands such as Shinedown and Jet Black Stare, this album is one you're definitely going to want to check out! I cannot say enough good things about this album. The first single off the album Hell Yeah is a fast-paced, attitude-fuelled ride that you're not gonna wanna get off of! With a terrifically sing-along-able chorus and some great riffs, this song is a bold, weighty openning statement on the album. Favourite Disease then lowers the pace ever so slightly, whilst maintaining maximum intensity in another wonderfully catchy tune, and Light It Up (the WWE's song of choice for Wrestlemania XXIV) turns the pace up once again full throttle. Rev Theory have been interviewed recently stating their desire to perhaps make an acoustic record in the near future, and the song Broken Bones hints at the great acoustic potential of this band. Kill The Headlights and You're The One also will both shake your foundations hard, as Kill The Headlights makes a statement about sometimes having to take a leap of faith with things, and You're The One hits the highest emotional note on the album (at least in this fan's opinion) being an intensely beautiful song. All the tracks on this album have their merits, and the whole album front-to-back is a great piece of musical work. These tracks are strong as a collective and just as strong individually, and this band is the most exciting 'new band' this year in this hard rock/metal fan's eyes. A fully praise-worthy record, this fan only hopes Rev Theory will be making their way to England to do some live shows in the not-too-distant future! Get this album now!
