well when i first bought one of their albums quite a while ago, "this darkened heart", i thought it was okay-ish. i didnt listen to them for quite a while and then out of no where i thought id give their new album a try. And i thought that this album is one of my favourites all times. I love the fact that they sing more, because after a while his scream gets a bit too samey, but the singing is quality especially on "Days Without". Overall a fantastic album, and i recommend it to anyone who likes the old sort of trivium, and likes the kind of, scream verse, sung chorus.

Having just been paided I thought I'd buy some music and naturally all that remains was the 1st band that came to mind so I bought all 4 of their albums, and although they are all gd Overcome and the fall of ideals are the best by far. Overcome though is said by many to not carry on with the traditional all that remains style of music...well it does quite well, granted it is slightly less screamy in places than fall of ideals but its still an amazing album; and i wish people would stop comparing it to the fall of ideals. The album overall is superb lots of guitar solos, heavy drumming throughout and vocals that fit well together, which makes even the softer songs like 'forever in your hands'extremly gd.
The best songs on the album...hummm its hard cos their all so gd but i'd have to say chiron and two weeks are the best thankfully these are towards the beginning of the album so 1st impressions are very gd, a friend of mine who went to see all that remains live cannot stop listening to their new album and he's right to do so this is in my opinion the best album they've done (followed closely by the fall of ideals) and is definatly worth the money.

At one stage all that remains was one of my most favourite bands, after releasing the past 2 albums 'this darkened heart' and 'the fall of ideals' i was excited for their new release 'overcome'. All i can say is that im not such a big fan anymore... theres less screaming and more singing, i know what your thinking that aint that bad cus hes got an awesome voice, well yeah but no they insist on putting this stupid effect on his voice which sort of ruins it! all i can say is that its an ok album one just for the collection, and you may get it out every once in a while but if you own the previous albums stick to the memory you have of them and dont buy overcome!
