Kate unusual Bush - Pity about the revamping of Wuthering Heights July 31, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great album with all my favourite tracks. How disappointed I was though with the revamped new vocal for Wuthering Heights. It was overproduced too much backing and Kate's voice dare I say did sound rather tinny and harsh.
The rest of the tracks are super Cloudbusting is great and all my old favourites.
I must track down the original wuthering Heights as I have them all on vinyl but not CD.
Pretty Good Album! February 18, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
OK, Kate Bush has never really been one of my favorite singers and her latest album is just so bad but "The Whole Story" is a fine collection of her work and i must admitt, it is worth a place in a CD collection. The best songs here are, "The Man With The Child In His Eyes", "Hounds Of Love", "Running Up That Hill" and "Babooshka". While, I don't believe that this album is one that i could play again and again, it's worth the occasional listen with the skipping of a few tracks. Of course, if your a big Kate fan that likes the songs i consider to be poor - you'll get even more enjoyment from it.
No DVD because.... January 17, 2008 I agree, the content is rare and fantastic but the media is now outdated.
I understand there is no DVD because of disagreements with various different recording companies. I don't think Kate would hold out out on her fans. Several of the disagreements she had was because she wanted the fans to see her one way and the recording companies disagreed. She generally won her way. It aggravated the companies but gave us great singles etc.
I wish this tape on DVD because .... January 11, 2008 Well, this tape includes wonderful video-clips of Kate Bush and I don't understand that it isn't available on DVD.
You have to know, I have this original tape since the 90's, but in fact there are a lot of problems with the sound on some video-players, also on the new Panasonic video- & DVD-recorder DMR-EX95V. I can do what I want, the sound is everytime in mono, sometimes in Hifi-Stereo for short times to change into mono seconds after. No problems with other original tapes from the 90's like Cher, Adam Ant, Madness and others.
PLEASE, give this tape for us fans on DVD, you should take some more videos of Kate Bush and put it on this DVD, too. ...and you will see this DVD will be saled pretty good...
One of the Greatest Singers EVER !!! September 16, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The incredibly beautiful Kate Bush, is without a doubt one of the MOST talented female singers ever.
A real hero of mine, along with the outstanding Aretha Franklin. Kate Bush is absolutely unique, stunningly beautiful, with a breathtaking voice. The multi-talented Kate, sings, writes, plays so many instruments, and dances so gracefully.
Every song on this album will rip through your heart and move you.
If I could give this album 10 stars I would.
Thank you Kate Bush for the amazing music, your stunning voice, and the messages within your songs.
I dedicate this album to GC - A very special person I once loved.
