Lovely background music October 25, 2006

As the other reviewer said, if you liked Peter Gabriel's "Passion" you should get this. This album contains all of the source material which inspired Gabriel's own music, and PG himself produces this collection but doesn't appear on it. Nice background music, and a good companion volume to one of the greatest soundtracks of all time in my opinion.

I was mesmerised by the film Passion - both a visual and audio feast. Shortly afterwards I bought the soundtrack - Passion - and have enjoyed listening to it ever since. However, there were a number of pieces of music in the film not on the soundtrack. I was really pleased to discover that "Passion - Sources" includes a number of these and provides other pieces of world music which inspired Peter Gabriel. From Baaba Maal's Call to Prayer to Antranik Askarian's Song of Complaint, this entire album will bring to you the warmth, colour and sounds of the Near East. A great album to relax to and switch off from the world around you...
