5 out of 5 stars breathtaking   November 27, 2008
having only heard three songs of this album I thought that the others would be dead weights, how mistaken I was, each song is easily identified once you've heard it once, though still clearly Disturbed, I'd wholly reccomend this album to most people, the lyrics have an actual meaning, with a great cover of Genesis' Land of Confusion.

5 out of 5 stars Very very good   May 25, 2008

Disturbed still going strong on their third album. This is better than 'Believe' and on par with 'The Sickness'. Full of heavy tracks that will have you head banging in no time. This record MUST be played loud. Playing it quiet doesn't do it justice. Tracks:

'Ten Thousand Fists': The title track and in my opinion the best track on the album. It has a brilliant riff, great lyrics in the verses and a killer chorus that you can't help but sing along to. Classic Disturbed. One of their best songs ever. 5/5

'Just Stop': You have to give this track a chance. At first it doesn't sound too good, but it grows on you and becomes very good. 4/5

'Guarded': Another grower. Like 'Just Stop' give this a chance and after a few listens you will see how good it is. 4/5

'Deify': Great track that will be one of the most played on this album. Very good chorus. 4/5

'Stricken': Lead single off the album and you can see why. This is classic Disturbed. Killer riff and a brilliant chorus. A song that everyone has to play loud. 5/5

'I'm Alive': Great song and one of the best off the album. Great chorus and again another great riff. 5/5

'Sons of Plunder': This album just keeps getting better. Disturbed are not holding up. Another great song with another great riff and chrous. Amazingly heavy and a classic Disturbed song. 5/5

'Overburdened': Slower song but it works. 4/5

'Decadence': Great track and one of the best on the album. Again. Sorry I keep saying that, but this album is full of brilliant tracks! Another great riff. 5/5

'Forgiven': Only ok when you first listen to it but it really grows. Great start to this track. 4/5

'Land of Confusion': Genesis cover. Different to the original. Disturbed pull it off really well and I know some peopel that like this much more than the original. 4/5

'Sacred Lie': At first only ok but this song is actually really good. The album isn't letting up as it nears the end, the songs still coming out as heavy as ever. 4/5

'Pain Redifined': Great track that has a really good chorus that has to be sung. 5/5

'Avarice': Quick song that ends the album nicely. Good track to listen to when you want to listen to fast tracks that are blunt and get straight to the point. 3/5

Overall, another great album by Disturbed. These guys can't put a foot wrong at the moment. Wonderful stuff and I definately recommend this to anyone who likes rock/metal. It is a wonderful record to add to your collection. Buy now!

i got this cd as i like the song stricken but after that there is no real stand out songs as they all sound the same. if you want real heavy metal look for stuff by metallica or iron maiden as any cds by these bands are better then this

5 out of 5 stars Wow!   October 20, 2007
I've had the sickness since I saw DIsturbed at Ozzfest, the best act there at the time. Since then I've fallen out of the scene a bit, I'm more of an indie/alt fan really, but I do like to return to a bit of metal on the odd occasion, so I looked disturbed up recently and got this. I am blown away. I like The Sickness, but this is something else, this is brilliant. Such a lot goes into each song. I can imagine they'll be even better live now, and I realy want to see them. I'd recommend this album to anyone.
