Rock Your Hips And Dance Away February 28, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As usual Rihanna brings it on top notch, with club sounds definitely smashing, sensational, and filled with infectious grooves sure to satisfy many danceaholics & more! This is from Rihanna's album titled, Good Girl Gone Bad and features a club mix that's on fire, hot! The album was geared to a more dance type theme taking a look into her personal growth as well. While many enjoyed her past R&B this will give an added enjoyment for the up-tempo fast paced music! If an artist stays exactly the same then that's not growth. Rihanna has shown that she can try different things and succeed in flying colors!
DON'T STOP THE MUSIC ALBUM VERSION [4:27] is definitely one of the catchiest songs off her album produced with a very positive aura, dance style and uplifting party vibe all the way through. The music is fast, groove filled, and definitely smashing! "Don't you feel the passion about to explode?... I wanna take you away... please don't stop the music..." There's a nice Michael Jackson effect in the background bringing on the days of disco when the moods for the dance floor were at an all time high with all sorts of styles exploding and shinning. Experience that and much more! This is definitely hot!
DON'T STOP THE MUSIC THE WIDEBOYS CLUB MIX [6:37] is a track very infectious, club friendly, and disco! Shake that stress away, play this mix and feel like you never even dared or imagined. It's got excellent dance club charged elements along listener friendly singing, fabulous swirls of trance, echoing techno flairs, and synths that bring the nights at the club to the spotlight. Take the beats in, and enjoy music to entertain the senses, dance, feel great and more!
While both songs can be heard on the double disc and other sets the moods may not always be up for so many varying songs at once. A copied or downloaded version doesn't quite capture the beauty of the collector's value, artwork, and overall experience. Get a single that will definitely be sold out, on the top of fans favorites, and on the heart and soul of dance and club fanatics! This has dance sensations from start to finish making this a more than top notch selection!

This is an amazing song and is yet another cracking addictive single by the biggest female artist on the planet right now - Rihanna. And just to let you know whoever wrote the review below me, your review is more like a review on Umbrella and it sounds like you are speaking on behalf of everyone when you say it's a mystery how it was so successful. It was successful because so many people liked the unique lyrics and music. Anyway, buy Don't Stop The Music as it will get you dancing in no time!
Awesome song - remix could have been better February 24, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful

Don't Stop The Music is one of the immediate highlights from Rihanna's truly amazing 3rd album - Good Girl Gone Bad. Harking back to Rihanna's early days with the dancefloor classic, Pon De Replay and the lilting rhythm of something like Madonna's 'La Isla Bonita' this has 'smash hit' written all over it. I love the way the Michael Jackson sample is worked into the song and it works perfectly, only adding to the track's overall appeal, catchiness and sense of fun.
The Wideboys seem to be Rihanna's fave remix buddies and they often come up trumps with a cracking dance reworking of her songs. But this time, it's only 'OK', not the amazing standard we've come to expect of Rihanna (the K-Klass remix of her last single 'Hate That I Love You' was pure brilliance). There's a wobbly modulator effect in play here but perhaps it's the fact that Don't Stop the Music was already essentially a dance song that the saying 'if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it' is appriate.
NO UMBRELLA!!! February 3, 2008 2 out of 6 found this review helpful
Is this really the batty woman who did Umbrella? Amazingly so. I didn`t realise she did actual "decent" songs. Rather surprised when I heard this and discovered it was "The Umbrella Lady". This is actually a damn good song, it`s got a groovy beat you can dance to. I "might" purchase this song as it sounds like MUSIC to me. Ever since "Umbrella" I don`t use umbrellas anymore and when I see them I totally ignore the silly things as they remind me of a rather daft song. I reckon this song will be a big hit. No idea how Umbrella stayed at number 1 for a year or two! This remains a total mystery to me and I guess everyone else!!! Umbrella song certainly messed up last summer`s weather AND made people feel "under the weather", it never helped us at all because people need cheering up when it rains! UMBRELLA, BRELLA, BRELLA! NEVER!!
