Stand out track July 9, 2008

Produced and co-written with Pharrell, this is without a doubt the stand out track from Madonna's latest album 'Hard Candy'. 'Give It 2 Me' is a high octance, no holds barred, unashamedly all out dance track, aimed solely at making sure everyone gets their butt on the dance floor. The song of my summer definately.

Give It 2 Me reminds me of the Madonna that once made her way down some concrete steps grabbing her crotch belting out "Don't go for second best baby!". It's taken a few listens to like this track enough to write a review but I've come to the conclusion this is Madonna on top again. The beat is amazing, commercial dance music at it's best! Sure to be yet another No.1.

Give It 2 Me is the 2nd single from madonna's #1 album hard candy this is the best track from the album this tracks is a lot better than 4 minutes 10/10 must buy if you like this track buy hard candy.

What a brilliant, brilliant track, the sound of this summer if we have one!! With one foot based firmly in the future of R&B and the other planted somewhere between early 80's Ska music and Madonna's own early 80's past, Give It 2 Me is probarbly the standout track from her latest multi platinum album Hard Candy. Pharrell Williams has done an excellent job in re-inventing the next phase of R&B/house music..... Its pop at its best but with a twist, the song is reminiscent of her early 80's tracks from one of her biggest selling albums, her debut opus that was, Madonna. Stealing ever so slightly from that popular early 80's British genre Ska, Give It 2 Me is about Madonna letting go, losing it on the dancefloor and having a good old time in the disco just like she did in 1985 with hits like Into The Groove. Its genius lies in its simplicity, it has an ability to get inside your head, irritating?? maybe! but infectious and good all the same, a great track which rightfully deserves to be her 14th UK number 1 single.
