Timbaland is shocking March 27, 2008 This album is a very good album with decent tracks my faves are: Give it to me Release The way I are Apolagize
Not for me March 17, 2008 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
I decided to buy this album on the strength of Appoligise, Give It To Me and The Way I are, hoping the rest would be along the same lines. Unfortunately they were not. Very much Ghetto music with some shocking lyrics, maybe I am just getting old!
TOTAL JUNK January 20, 2008 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I'd heard a couple of tracks from this album on mainstream radio and thought I'd give it a go. What can I say? It's complete rubbish.
This is for people who love ghetto music with the "woe is me" lyrics and love the words "motherf**ka" or "n**ger" being sung throughout the songs.
Is a shame as the production on this album is pure quality. Just a pity it comes complete with the same old same old chip on the shoulder lyrics as is so boring predictable these days.
This buyer doesn't recommend it one bit. Save your money.
Shockingly good value! January 10, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It's been a while since I've bought a hip hop album but I'm glad I did. On this album there are the obvious radio hits: "The Way I Are", "Give It To Me" and "Apologize". If you've never heard these before then you're in for a treat however you'd need to have been living in a cave not to have heard them atleast once. Personally, I'm a little tired of how overplayed those three songs are so I played the album with the intention of finding the unknown gems.
There are several quality songs with superb beats and melodies on the record. "Miscommunication" with Keri Hilson and "Time" are brilliant, atmospheric hip hop songs. In addition, "Attitude" has a nice piano tune in the background although the Resident Evil voice sample used at the beginning and end of the song is a little lame. There are a few mediocre tracks but that is to be expected. Overall, it's a great purchase for any hip hop fans but will also be entertaining for anyone who's a fan of catchy melodies and uplifting beats.
Good but not THAT Good! December 27, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Bought this at christmas! Half of it has great melody, music that you feel rather than just hear. Some of the rap is too hard and repetative and then there are the tracks that contain real musical artistic skill! Still most albums contain a mix of fantastic and not so good tracks these days. It's possible, with him having a similar name Justin TIMBERLAKE I may have expected each track to sound as good as JT's recent album but it isn't quite as consistent with one good song after another!
