5 out of 5 stars Fantastic, but a warning!   July 28, 2008

This album is great, Kid Rock has been a favourite for years, and this new album does not disappoint.
Be warned if you are new to Kid Rock and are considering this on the back of 'All Summer long' playing on the radio at the moment then please be warned, this album contains some VERY strong graphic language in the lyrics of a number of songs, especially track 5!

This is the 1st Album ive listened to from kid rock, although ive heard a few offerings on the Radio/ TV. This CD is great, Well worth checking out.

What a great voice KR has! and his song writing is amazing.

Stand out Tracks: 'All Summer Long','Roll On', 'Half Your Age', & 'Dont Tell Me You Love Me' to name just a few.

Buy It!

After the master blasting of previous CDs I found this collection very disappointing. Unless you like pop rock or country and western, you'll feel pretty cheated. Where is the heavy rock, the hip hop ? Bring it back.

4 out of 5 stars The ressurection of a living Jesus but I sure miss the Devil   March 3, 2008

Year's I waited in anticipation checking the brilliant website "extreme kid rock" on a daily basis, hoping for the news of the date Kid Rock was dropping his proclaimed "rock and roll classic". Four years on we have it "Rock & Roll Jesus". Kid Rock goes striaght to the billboard no 1 spot for the first time on the back of the single "So Hott". The album is more focused that the last two "Kid Rock" & "Cocky", and without doubt his singing has stepped up. There are an abundance of gems on the album; AMEN, ALL SUMMER LONG, ROLL ON, NEW ORLEANS, BLUE JEANS & A ROSARY and the lead track ROCK AND ROLL JESUS. It is pleasing to see Rock actually got a decent review in Rolling Stone, the cd is flat out enjoyable it can be played over and over like all the others, but i do not believe it is a classic. I sure prefer the Devil than Jesus here, Devil Without A Cause was still the legendary kid rock album, although songs; I am the bullgod, black chick white guy had appeared on his 1996 LP EMSP it was still awsome . The album RARJ is a joy to behold songs; sugar and dont tell me you love me, are questionable as his rapping has become more forced but on the whole it is one of the best cds of 2007, a solid album putting Kid where he should be number 1.

5 out of 5 stars So Hott!   January 25, 2008

Kid Rock is back with a major bang with his latest offering 'Rock N Roll Jesus'! It has been 4 years since Rock released an album of new material, and he hasn't disappointed with what he's delivered. The album opens with the terrific title track 'Rock N Roll Jesus', which is a true rock 'n' roll song if ever a modern rock artist could produce one! The first two singles off the album 'So Hott' and 'Amen' soon follow, 'So Hott' being surely the catchiest rock tune of 2007 with the opening lines "You got a body like the devil and you smell like sex, I can tell you're trouble but I'm still obsessed...", and 'Amen' introduces the continued "biblical overtones" that run throughout the album to quote Kid Rock himself (go to www.kidrock.com for a brief interview regarding the new album from the man himself!). Some other gems on the record are 'Don't Tell Me U Love Me' which has a fantastic chorus to it, and 'Half Your Age' which is a wonderful song full of clever quick-witted remarks towards a certain ex-wife of Rock's. This is a great record as the Kid once again makes progressive moves in terms of his musical style. Don't expect a rap album. This is pure honky-tonk, rock 'n' roll, country soul! England needs to stand up and take notice of the American Bad A**. He's pulled a firecracker of a record out of his finely tuned hat again! Simply listen and enjoy!
